Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics, one of India’s leading 3D animation & VFX training institute is organizing a day long animation festival “SRIJAN 2008” at Satya Sai Sanskrutika Sadsnam , #20 , Adjacent to Prestige Acropolis , Next to Forum Mall , Hosur Road , Bangalore -29 on 12th September 2008 in association with CG Tantra.

The day long event will see professionals from the industry sharing their experience & knowledge with up-coming artists who want to join the animation industry. The highlight of the event will be a seminar by Mr. V.K.Gupta, renowned Technical Director of Hollywood Blockbusters like ‘Golden Compass’ & ‘Beverly Hills’. Mr. Gupta is regarded as a stalwart in the sphere, owing to the fact that he has over twelve years of enriching experience and works with some of the most reputed international clients like Disney and Cinesite Europe, besides others. He is presently associated with Big Animation as Sr. Technical Director.

The other sessions will be conducted by Abhishek Chandra, Sr. Animator Tata Elxsi, Dileep Varma, Asst. Manager Lighting – Rhythm & Hues, and Anand Baid, Sr. Animator – Dreamworks at Paprikas. The event will also showcase the work of MAAC student from the South.

MAAC has already organized “SRIJAN 2008” in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai & Pune which was a runaway success. According to Ms. Aruna Kumar, VP & Zonal Head (South), MAAC, “SRIJAN will help the budding talents to interact with the stalwart from the industry. It will also help them in understanding the production pipeline in a studio & help in increasing their horizon about the animation industry”.
